  • Apply a grain-of-rice sized amount of aftercare cream to each eyebrow if area feels tight. Keep it thin and light, just enough to keep the area moisturised. Before reapplying aftercare cream, gently wipe old layer of cream using damp cotton pad. NO MAKEUP. NO OTHER MOISTURIsER. NOTHING.

What to expect after procedure

Some residual swelling is normal for ALL procedures. Some clients may have no swelling, reaction and healing is very different from one client to the next.

Dry skin, itching, and tenderness are all very common and normal especially within the first 5-7 days following the procedure. These symptoms will dissipate each day and will vary on an individual basis.

You can expect the colour to fade and soften 30-50% once healed. The touch-up will enhance any areas that have faded too much. Healing and colour retention is specific to each client and their skin type.

Follow up needs to be done 4-6 weeks after the initial appointment to achieve the best result that we are both pleased with. Some clients may desire or need an additional touch-up which will be subject to an additional fee.

It is important to understand that you will need a colour boost every 1-3 years to maintain a fresh, natural-looking appearance.

If you are out in the sun a lot, use anti-aging products, oily skin creams, chemical peels, or sweat frequently, you will likely need a colour boost every 6 months to 1 year.

Protect your brows with high spf one’s they healed after touch up. The better you take care of the treated area, the longer it will last.

General healing timeline:

Please remember that each person heals at a different rate from the next. This is just a general guideline so you have an idea of what to expect.

DAY 1-2

Your eyebrows will be approximately 20% darker and bolder looking than they will be when healed. Your skin may be red around the pigment which may make the pigment look darker. There may be some swelling in the area — this will subside. Don’t be concerned if your eyebrows initially appear darker and larger than what you desire, they will change many times throughout the healing process.

DAY 3

Your eyebrows will begin to itch and will appear thicker. Natural exfoliation will begin which will cause excess pigment surrounding the procedure area to flake off. Do not pick, peel, rub, or otherwise exfoliate yourself. Let the flaking slough off naturally. Apply thin layer of aftercare cream if area feels tight. Before reapplying the aftercare cream, gently wipe off old layer using damp cotton pad.

DAY 4-5

More flaking and the edges of the strokes will look softer and may even appear to lose some pigment. Do not be concerned with this. As the skin heals, new skin will heal over the pigmented area which will diffuse the stroke lines and colour. As the layers of the skin regenerate from the inside out, the pigment will resurface and you will notice the actual healed results after 4-6 weeks from your session (you’ll notice a few colour changes until then). Patience is key 🙂
